A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I have been so sorry to hear how ill our Wiley has been and how difficult this is for our brave Kabu who loves him and wants him well again. Well I am praying this is a new good news for Wiley!!!!!! After thirteen weeks I was able to visit my dear friends at the Nursing Home. I had not been able to go with George for all that time. It was such a blessingto see them again. It is difficult work but it is lovely too. Those in our special unit are the most incredible. They appear not to know anything going on around them; on the other hand they appear to be in another dimension with everything together. George and I went to Wally World late last night. I am putting away summer clothes and taking out the winter ones. Cleaning and freshening closets. I wanted a certain kind of freshener to put into the closets. We have walked all over for the things we had on our list and I have not been able to find lavender flowers in any form that I could make little scent bags with. It is nippy down here I am having to put away plants and pick all my basil for one last large container of Pesto before winter. I wintered over Basil last year but I am not sure I will try this year. I am very tired. I have begun to write argumentatively rather than trying to get a sane point made, totally unintentionally. My health is somewhat like Wiley, I can't drive any more and I often do a little dance but I have learned to go through it without falling now.I have been running blood pressures over 200/ often and I sleep a lot. In almost all countries of the world that are not already ruled by Islam there is war or oppression even in a non violent manner. Taking up more space that disallows the original peoples less room, demanding rights when they are not even citizens. The violence is rampant. I don't have to go into all these things for you, you know about them. Each of us walks his own path through life. Such a statement spoken to a child or a young person will send them running for the hills. I felt a little cool tinge in the air when I went out a few minutes ago. That and the fact that all the stores are piling in the Season's decorations. I love this time of year. I have always loved Christmas because of Jesus. More and more efforts are being made to stop the real celebration of Christmas some subtle some bold. YES THI IS AN E MAIL BUT A HELPFUL ONE IF YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO USE IT! As I was waiting in line behind an older gentleman at Wendy's recently, I heard him ask for his senior discount. The girl at the register apologized and charged him less. When I asked the man what the discount was, he told me that seniors over age 55 get 10% off everything on the menu, every day. I have been trying to tag others for years now. I wonder why they are this way or that way. I have much repenting to take care of, I am not God, not by a long shot. I have no reason to hide behind the labels of bad politics, hatefulness or just plain super immorality exercised by many people in order to put tags on them. I wrote a post yesterday answering a very good comment JimmyA put on my previous post. I appreciated his comment. We were not in complete agreement but it was not a disagreement either it was more a different concept of each era whether from living then or reading the media as to their take at the time. What I was complaining about had actually nothing to do with JimmyA but more to do with there never having been a President in this country that boldly and brashly said things about the opposite... Amazingly, I have seen special news shows that featured interviews with people from several different generations. People who grew up during the Depression and WWII feel those times were extremely tough. People who lived in the '50's and '60's during the Cold War thought those times were tough. In the '70's there were gas shortages, and the prices of everything tripled. People thought those times were tough! Daily there are rumors of things so egregious they simply appear to go away because no one can believe our government is really doing nothing about them. Many scandals, any one of which would have been taken care of by the various committees in government at any time in the past; are floating around dangerously. When I woke this morning it was like any other day so I thought. I just was not as tired upon waking as I am usually. After George had gone to work I set about the light things I allocated to myself but there was an odor about. Well I decided it was the bushel or so of tomatoes and I had to check all of them and take those to the compost. The last few years have seen forest fires, flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes one thing after another that takes lives and makes 'going green' looks like a child trying lipstick for the first time. It is all a joke! I do not mean funny I mean unreal, sad, and so many of us feel totally helpless. Those people in Colorado are in such terrible conditions and another fire just swept the Jersey shore leaving another swath of injury to the already injured. What do you think of a thing called religion that sends its members into the United States to learn to fly and steal planes and drive them right through the Twin Towers? Another American holiday is due Monday so the whole week end is part of the fun ordeal. People do all sorts of fun things here in the south. In our town it is water sports, concerts in the parks, seafood festival and lots and lots of family things from pitching baseball in the yards. Today George and I took away the old garden making ready for our fall garden. ONCE UPON A TIME I love stories that begin with once upon a time. That means it was when people dressed, lived, talked and were different than I and others like me are today.
