I did not see the dance.  When Bobby Brown did his gyrations, he was threatened and jailed along with Luke.  A double standard exists.  There will always be a group that defies what is good, right or proper.  They will push the envelop so that worse has the chance to grow.

i just put blinders on and ear muffs to that which is not publicically appealing to me and get on to something else.  There is much disturbing behavior everywhere these days,

I love the idea of a once upon a time girl. Your inspired me with this.

I did not see the dance you mention with Miss Cyrus. From what you describe it doesnt sound like I missed much.

Well daily in the paper I look at fashion on models and to me it looks a load of rubbish. It would look like a badly designed flags on most normal folk. Please don't mention high heels look foward to crippled feet eventually.

The sad thing is that her record sales got a big jump over that dance, a sad state of the union and our morals.

no more nursery rhymes and I agree about Miley what the heck is going on with this chick, the news media is the reason there is so many disturbing things as they go on and on about something let it die and she and the others will think twice before performing like a two bit whore

I think Miley is looking for ways to captivate her audience just as Lady Gaga does!  For some reason people love that kinda stuff!

Mileys dance was just a cry for publicity and I guess she got it... I also thought it was crass and disgusting..specially performed by such a young girl and using Teddi bears of all things... like an assault on childhood... Wasn't it Voltaire who said that as long as "they" were talking... it did not matter if it was bad or good?  and he was a so called philosopher... I guess I am also from once upon a time my friend :-)  xoxoxo

I was a once-upon-a-time bobbysoxer with saddle oxfords and crinilin petty coats.  I loved it.   Back then people still experienced shame and embarrassment.  How long has it been since you've seen a young girl blush?

Yes, "once upon a time" was a happier time! It's a shame that people ( espiecally women it seems ) are so influenced by whatever the "latest trend" might be. I say, wear what makes you happy, and is comfortable for you! Who cares what others think . . . ?

that Miley Syrus thing was a disgrace and time for it to stop...what were they thinking. Cheap crude rude a disgrace and I could not even watch it... The beach is the place for a Bikini...that show on the stage was vile and does nothing for Western women's image. when other cultures talk about us with disgust it is difficult to defend women ....

I was of the mini-skirt generation. Justi, but now it's micro-skirt or none at all. Many of the clothes we see today leave little to the imagination and imagination was a big part of sensual interaction, in my mind. I have a feeling the present generation is missing out by showing it all. They leave no secrets, and what's more enchanting than uncovering a secret? Guess I'm in the Once Upon a Time league too.

AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY THEREAFTER

I liked the endings of those magical stories even better than the beginnings. As for dress sense and modesty nowadays, the less said about that the better.See my blog of a few days ago on this subject, in which I quote from Bob Dylan's song The Time they are a' Changing.
