TAPS:

I totally agree. It sounds very much like the 'great falling way' when so many want to take it down. It is important that we stand before those who do not know Jesus so they have an opportunity to meet him. Not to force or even coerce but make a presence and now I feel that is difficult. I know very well Jesus knows where you stand with Christmas, you are a wonderful Christian woman.

You know, it is always Christmas in my heart no matter what other people think, and I can pray anywhere at all, and sing if I feel like it.

Perhaps it is a bit early. The decorations are in the store all over the place without a word showing Christmas. Holloween is all ove with the words, etc., Thanksgiving is all over too with words and cards, but all is silent about Christmas. It is I who needs to change my tune I suppose. The Bible has predicted a great falling away and we are in it. You know that is fine for the person who chooses for himself if he wants to celebrate this Holiday, but it is terrible for business etc., to reject it as they are. I appreciate your saying Merry Christmas, whether you believe it has anything to do with Jesus is between you and Jesus not you and me and you would make me happy if you said that to me in the Grocery store or anywhere. I know you, you are not like those who are afraid not to stop the Jesus people you are simply following what you believe, that is different.

Ain't it a little early for that? But of course, when the time comes I too say 'Merry Christmas', and not 'Happy Holidays' or 'Joyful Winter Solstice' or 'Good Sledding' or some such...

Wishing you a Merry Christmas too..I feel sad because christmas has become so commercial about who can give the most or the biggest and most expensive.  They have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas..

Merry Christmas dear lady. It saddens me that it is not about allowing anyone to do as they wish but to shush us into doing as they want. I love French it pours like hot carmel but I can't speak or understand it.

JimmyA:

I do understand but now it seems it takes three months to get people to even look to Christmas. Thank you for your comment.

Oh dear - I'm one of those people who look forward to Christmas all year - I just LOVE that season and all it means. And yes - I ALWAYS say Merry Chrsitmas in both English and French, and will continue doing so.

I'm sorry. As much as you and others may enjoy the Christmas season, once again I think people are starting to mention it way too soon! I mean, it's not even Halloween yet! Can't we enjoy one holiday or event at a time before rushing on the the next? My wife and my anniversary is in June, which we thoroughly enjoy and look forward to, but we don't start mentioning it in March! The anticipation of something is supposed to be as enjoyable as the thing itself. Why are so many people rushing Christmas . . . ?
