To all my new friends and readers, hopefully a single group, Like everyone else I resist change, fearing the unknown. In an effort to attract the interest of more readers, I’ve decided to try another category in which to post my writing. A part of me says that well enough should be left alone. I originally posted in “mature”, and I thought that meant “Geezer”. I now suspect that this is the site that contains PORN! How could I compete with that? Another recollected (approximately) email to my school buddy: David, Every time I get an inspired idea that must be communicated, before the stroke, it takes so long to turn this damn computer on, I have forgotten what it was, that was so important to tell mankind. It makes me wonder if the stroke hit while I was waiting. It has escaped me by the time I can compose, type and make my communication something that Mark Twain would wish that HE had thought of and written a hundred years ago. Upon... I just heard the TV say, “Blacks are likely to suffer strokes twice as often as whites.” My first thought was, “I’m glad I’m white!” Then I thought; does that mean I’ll live twice as long, before I have the stroke? Or, will blacks have two strokes before I have one? Or will a black stroke be twice as bad as my white one? How does a stroke know what color it is? Should I hope my EX-WIFE will have a BLACK stroke?
