A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I looked out my window when a movement prompted me to lookmore closely. I saw a man crouched at the back of my house where the meters for the electric, gas and cable are located. I thought nothing more of it when I thought he was reading a meter, even if he looked funny almost sitting there. Next my husband said not to be concerned that he was climbing a pole outside and he was likely checking the cables as a routine check. No problem. It has been a few lovely restful days. I have visited with family and friends and enjoyed it tremendously. We have had some cold weather for a change and I feel so for my friends who have severely cold weather. There have been so many changes around here. It feels like New Year... I have begun walking daily. So not such a big deal you may think but it had been a choice I could not make. My doctor increased my thyroid medication and I can see why I was in bed more than out. Tomorrow is the end of the lovely munching on goodies here and there. We had Thanksgiving with friends and tomorrow we are going to my daughter's home to enjoy the day with them. I am looking forward to that. We all decided we had eaten enough turkey, left over turkey etc., so we are having pasta and salad and wild and wonderful homemade bread. As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods -- merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. It is a good thing I use my freezer daily or many times a day. I opened it yesterday only to find the food was not frozen. It was still frozen a bit but not solid. The freezer went out sometime in the night and had probably been opened after it stopped freezing. I quickly called others and gave what I could away. I have been cooking whole bags of meat and vegetables. Some I have canned others I have cooked up in many ways and put into containers to give to those who had no room for them in their... I slept a lot of yesterday and today, due to not having those meds for a few days. All is well now. I am up and going. Yes George pulled a Wiley today. He got on the telephone to the insurance company and did not give up until he got the right person to speak with that could clarify the issue about the cost of drugs. It was cleared up and all is well with our pharmacy now. That outrageously expensive medication was picked up after the call and it cost $6.30 as opposed to over $200. I have always used coupons if I had them and they were for things I would buy anyway. I watched those shows about 'Extreme Couponing' and thought that would never be for me. Well it isn't it or is it? One of the Super Markets in our town began giving double the coupon up to $1 on anything. I gathered a lot of coupons from the internet and went shopping only to find I was bitten by the bug. I walked out with a lot of savings, in fact, an incredible amount for what I spent.
