I think it is for everyday too! We should never take our freedoms for granted because a price has been paid for them and in some cases very dearly! sam

The world has heartless and thoughtless individuals who only care about what happens to them.  I did not realize this sad fact in its profound form until a few years ago.  In ways, I think I was clueless.  Reading, seeing the atrocities committed with the attitude of ""get over it and move on" as though it is immediately possible, is almost beyond comprehension.

I am sorry that happened to you and to anyone who ever served in any military capacity anywhere as an American.

Thank you for this, it does my heart good to read it, even now, because when I came home I was spit upon, and told not to wear my uniform when traveling...for my protection they said...it still hurts.

TAPS

My stepson was a paratrooper and the amount of goods they jump with would totally shock you. We all should be ashamed at any point we do not support our military.

I read this yesterday and it effected me in such a way that I couldn't add anything by commenting, so I went away thinking on it.  I was amazed at your lists of things that had to be carried both in past wars and in the present.

We must never forget those who gave all to hopefully achieve a better world .

A soldier's life at war is not just about dying it is the memory of the survivors we must honour as well. Thank you

Re: I hate and loathe war as you know dear lady but I honour those that

Darling I appreciate you for being you and hoping for world wide peace, it can not be but I got your back... Two people of drasticaclly differing views can not come together on a point if it profits one and not the other unless both are for the total best for all concerned. You are, I am we would never be at war but you cannot talk away war when a country has something to gain more than the protection of it's people. I do love you dear peace nik!
