Every time I go to my doctor and all looks well I get over joyed, this often is short lived it appears. So everyday can’t be a party day. After all the greatest complaint was pain (they took care of that) then in line was sleep, I slept and slept and just could not stop sleeping at odd hours but 14 to 16 hours a day. The doctor wanted another supply of my blood she is saving it for something. A new appointment for three months and I go home. Three months my foot next day the doctor’s office... Today and I do mean today from 11:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. George and I were the hosts for the country prayer vigil for breaking all sorts of addictions. Those putting together this and an all day picnic tomorrow thought there might be enough names to fill six boards (huge boards), before we left there were eight and more being added. It appears it is taking me longer to do things than once it did. I am about to let time take it's toll on my life. I will be doing less and less blogging. There are others of you on here who are older, but many who are getting up there but not here yet who are doing a wonderful job of being right in tune with the times. I am no longer right there. I was never more excited with a doctor's appointment. I have worked myself down to four medications and that is way down. It is so good to feel better. I have a lot of pain but we have one med for it and I will not become addicted to that. I was sleeping fourteen to sixteen hours a day after the last addition of Serotonin Uptake and they were giving me this because I was depressed. Two different kinds. Today I am trying to clean out junk, file near junk, avoid adding new junk into my life. As I sort all my writings; pieces of books, recipes, cook books not totally finished, poetry of sorts I am wondering if I dare retype all this into the computer put it on disks or toss it? I blamed my mother for all my faults, of course it was her fault, wasn't it? She was my mother and she was in a perfect position to have made everything right in my life, she controlled it totally, didn't she? Today on the news I saw where a particular bird had escaped the hurricane Irene up East. I did not see all the story but I did see enough to make me wonder... George has just filled me in on the balance of the story. Some group in New Jersey had a tracking device on a bird in a covey of 10 oz birds that were loose in this storm. Those flying colors I made it through Sunday, you know my flags; they are sagging a bit and a tad drab too. But I am still here and looking forward. It occurred to me today that the older you are the more aware you are that life is so short. Oh no it isn't because you see the end coming so soon, or that you are afraid of the end.
