When compared to Christians to other parts of the world, we in the Western culture are soft.  We always want things easy.  I have heard that the Christians in China request our prayers--not that they would have it easier, but that the glory they give to God would increase.

It makes me want to go to Heaven much sooner with that prelude! And I know our Lord is reminding us through this chapter that He is always there to help us through any storm in our life!   Great post.

No truer words could you have printed to a nation who for the most part have forgot that they are  responsible for themselves, thinking that is the governments job.

And I bet you'll cross that finish line pulling and helping a few who have trouble making it, Justi! Like Dancin' Grandma's comment - a true southerner for sure!

I have always done the hardest part first on anything I undertake, it makes the rest of things go much more smoothly! I liked the way you incorporated your example! I send my blessings to you in the name of the Lord! sam

What a wonderful lesson you've woven--only a Southerner could weave such an inspirational comparison between the disciples in the storn and college football players! War Eagle and Roll Tide!! haha.
