The Book of Remembrance
I have had a few birthdays that were really memorable... worth putting in the Book and going back to now and then. This will be in that Book. The couple who came over for dinner could only come this one evening, it was coincidence, realized as the date was set, that it was my birthday. We'd talked about it a long time, and finally lunged at a chance: My first dinner party in this house, since the open house-warming that lasted all day and three good meals.
