It was not my birthday yesterday
but the knitting circle celebrates on one day, all the birthdays of that month, so yesterday, it was a party for two of us, and each of us got big bags of yarn donated by various others in the group, and much good cheer. The yarns I got vary from very interesting to very... strange. One of my favorites is a thin, mostly red with flecks of other color, a blend of wool and silk, made in Nepal.
