Finally, now that the big maple tree is full-flowering and its leaves are spreading open to the sun, and lilac buds are looking ready to pop any day, I waited for a moment when Mama Dove was away from the nest, and transferred the plants out to the deck for the season. I am taking a chance that we'll see no more blizzards before next fall. If she is on the nest, and I peer out at her, she peers back, and then often flies off to sit watching from the maple.
