HE IS SO CLOSE

It is happening in China, South America, India and in most of the world and has been for some time. Now it is here in America. May God open the eyes of all the World to the truth. A man, a believer, a pastor, a husband and a father of two little girls was shot in his pulpit. The man who shot this preacher was not a Christian. We don't have to know anything about him to know this. A true believer cannot do such. Christians and Jews have and are being jailed, killed and tortured for having faith... IT IS A NEW BEGINNING

This is a good time to set my life on the right track. Begin a new year and renew my faith lifestyle. I believe it is time for all of us who are Christians to look to Gpd to help us live a life of light. There is not more darkness but fewer bright lights are dispelling the darkness. Darkness cannot dispel light but light can erase darkness totally. 7 Steps to a Life of Blessings 1. Belong to God's family (John 3:1-3) 2. Keep His commandments (Titus 2:11-12 3. Humble yourself (James 4:6) 4. Give... Sign in to see full entry.

WHAT DID YOU HAVE TODAY

On a cold cloudy and winday day in March in a little place nobody ever heard of I was born to almost unsuspecting parents seventy three years ago today. So that is what it was I had today a Birthday. Happy is the right word to associate with birthdays. You fudge as much time as possible before 21 to reach the magical age. You stall at 29 wondering what people with think of you are now 30. You lived through that and you are on your way at a fast clip to reach 40 when the next notable day arrives.... Sign in to see full entry.

IS IT BECAUSE IT IS EXPECTED?

If you are a Christian or Jew your Sabot is from Friday evening at sunset until Saturday evening at sunset or all day Sunday. Those are days of rest. You go to church and mostly do nothing else. The number one day for people to lay-out of work is Monday. People are often very tired on Monday. I am not sure why that is. Is it because we are expected to be tired, blue or just not feel well. Is that the power of suggestion? Are we expected to feel less than par? Or is it those who are not one of... Sign in to see full entry.

WHY ARE HURT FEELINGS SO TRAGIC OR ARE THEY?

It is a mean and foolish person who enjoys hurting others. However there are those that make a practice of being hurt. Learning to allow some things to flow off your back is a growing up process. There is no age limit to learning this. When I first came to Blogit; in fact my first post was met with the most battering I had ever experienced in any conversation sort of format. My politics did not go down well at all. My feelings were hurt and that was the flame that lit the furnace. Those who... Sign in to see full entry.

WHY DO 50% OF THEM NOT WORK?

Any of you who are married know you did expect your marriage to last forever when you said those two binding words. Well my first marriage did not work. In fact it lasted far longer than I think it should have; however, three beautiful children came out of that marriage. The great surprise is that my new husband, yes one day old at the point of change, turned into a man 100% different than the man I had dated for more than a year. I dated a kind, generous and loving man. I married an abusive,... Sign in to see full entry.

I DON'T WANT TO THINK OF POLITICS TODAY

Well that is my choice. Instead of all the computer news sites and the T.V. zeroed in on News; I have watched, home repair and decorating, cooking and Christian channels. I have decided to make an old fashioned meal just like being in the country. I have not fried foods in years but today was different. I made what momma always called 'first mess' because there was not enough of any of it to make a full dish so she mixed: yellow squash, okra, potatoes, onions and green tomatoes, doused them in... JESS HAS TO REST AWHILE

Forgive me if I am being lazy with continuing my story. Jess needs a rest for a while. We will be back in the driver's seat with her next week. I am also having issues with getting information into this particular blog. I don't know what it appears like when it is saved. But as I am typing it is a mess. There is less than half a space between the lines. Hang with me. I will be back. Be blessed. Sign in to see full entry.

A HAS BEEN VENTRILOQUIST AND A BIG RED HAT

My first post flew, right out into the ethers. You would have loved it. It was about my pretty mother who thought it was her duty to be the best dressed at church since it was her great great grand parents who built it. This particular day happened over 67 years ago but I remember it as if it were yesterday. My mind was young agile, not so wrinkled I guess and it photographed memories in full color and has maintained them well. Today my brain works like my cheap HP printer when it is low on ink,... GET A GRIP OR CALL THE GRAVE DIGGERS

544x376 Normal 0 Without intent or conscious action I have come to a cross roads in my life. I want to do right, go right. How will I know right from left? I sit here in the little sanctuary I created years ago as a place to relax on the shady side of the barn. When all the animals were gone we converted the barn into a huge play house for the children, a garage and storage keeping the barn facade.. I cannot read this journal I can hardly concentrate on a single thought. I can feel it. A new... Sign in to see full entry.

WILL WE BE DOING THE WALKING THIS TIME?

Kabu made me think of those stories my Mother told me about men walking during the great depression. We didn't have them in the rural areas of the South after the war just during the depression. My parents built a new house when I was five but the one we had before that was awesome to me then and now in my memory. I guess it is called a shotgun house, maybe not but I can see it still. The house was oblong, longer than wide. A porch across the whole front, a door in the center complete with a... Sign in to see full entry.

BULLETS TOOK ON A NEW MEANING

I came here wanting to write something today. Really wanting a new post in my Journal Blog. I stared at the page, read the last post and soon I realized I had gone hunting without any bullets. Makes no difference how good the brain of the gun is or how much game is available without bullets you will go home empty handed. Have you ever known anyone you simply didn't know what to say or do around them because they never said anything unless spoken to and you had no idea what to talk with them... ONCE UPON A TIME

I wonder where this saying came from. As a child those were wonderful words almost as good as ice cream. They prefaced a story. I loved to be read to or to read and all the good stories it seemed began with 'Once upon a time'. Now that I have racked up many years of living I can segment my life with 'Once upon a time'. I don't find that all of them are ice cream stories. Some are. I have just finished reading TAPS and it was an ice cream story to me. One that projected from a 'Once upon a time'... WHAT IS HIGIND IN THE MUD FACTORY CHAPTER 13

544x376 Normal 0 I had gone to the restaurant first thing on Monday morning. The weekend had been a major discombobulation. Henry who was all of 18 had stayed out all night and came staggering in Sunday morning, not so bright and early, drunk as a skunk. This was a new problem to deal with. I’ll be damned if I try to talk any sense into him until he has slept this off. I cannot take much more. Daddy is not getting any more accepting with Momma’s death. Cani is distant and has a sharp tongue. It... Sign in to see full entry.

WAR IS NOT THE GREAT KILLER

I am taking a few days off the story because the next few chapters are very difficult to set. Please come back for it later, Thank you. Are you aware that in America alone an astronomical number people die yearly in an attempt to get help. They die from medical mistakes! Surgical Mistakes: A bout 1,300 times yearly the doctors operate on the wrong person, remove the wrong limb or organ. Once in every 5,000 they leave surgical instruments inside the body, this alone is not so great a risk since... Sign in to see full entry.

Chapter 12 A NEW ATTEMPT AT POSTING IN PLAIN TEXT!

544x376 Normal 0 Please bear with me this will not copy correctly from my software with empty lines between paragraphs. I think it will be easier to read anyway. I want to thank all who read through the mess. Please let me know if it has the junk print still. Three years passed and the relationship between mother and daughter went as it always had. Nothing ever seemed to change between these women, except for both of them aging the daughter was still in rebellion and Momma in a spirit of social... Sign in to see full entry.

WHAT IS HIDING IN THE MUD FACTORY CHAPTER 11

544x376 Normal 0 Too many bad choices and too many miles to the crossroads, is this the end? “How is the homework Henry and Cani?” I asked but knew the answer already. Henry didn’t have any and Cani had done hers. I wondered when and why to both of them. Henry had been a straight A student. He was on the tennis team; he was outgoing and had lots of friends. Now he was subdued at best and his friends were suspect to say the least. How do I talk about this? The more I thought about the changes in... Sign in to see full entry.
