It is RED, WHITE & BLUE at my house. All things change but there are some moral codes that never should change and the formers of our constitution have put into place certain protections to prevent people from being so ugly and giving our country to people who are not AMERICAN minded. I hear all this squawking about water boarding in interrogation of people who put their own children out as suicide bombers and so many other atrocities. Sorry I have not been back to write over that stale blog but things have been popping around here. Easter weekend was a basket full of color, a few broken eggs and a lot of surprises. While most of the country has had hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, earthquakes and a rash of wild fires we in the South have sailed along with little more than a four year drought. Some people get twisted around about celebrating Easter and how the method of celebrating is pagan. So? It is the thankfulness for the action of this weekend some 2,000 years ago that we celebrate. Most of our women were young. Well when you are measuring age against mine everybody is young. But there are women in there from 20 to those with grandchildren. Still all of them are at a helpless moment in their life. So, so many questions arise that are hard to answer for them. Some have been clean and sober for a couple of days, in fact they aren't clean they are still detoxing. Others have been for weeks or even a few months if they came from jail. I keep getting this sense that we have been under a green watch before. A couple I know of were so green in their habits the whole earth was green to them. They were vegetarians, they were nudist, they walked only wherever they went so no electricity, no gas, no damage to animals or trees and no problem of fashion. There is so much bad going on in our Country right now that it is sad just to think of the outcome for those who belong to the world. Last week the 'comedic genius' Sasha Cohen was caught attempting to disrupt two different ballroom dance classes/events in the state of Alabama. The more weather news I see the more compassion I have for those of you who live in that swath that is having incredible rain, snow and bad winds and or tornadoes. Every time I see a troubled spot I see hundreds of people giving their time and energy to help themselves and/or a neighbor. Many are there who live far away from the trouble to help others. I have heard a lot of people remind us not to put God in a box. Tell me anyone who does not have him in a box. My only concern is that it is such a tiny box. When I got out of bed today and walked through the house I could tell it was much like the day before, nice and warm. When I looked out the door I could hardly see the street in front of my house.
