hi sweetie, a doctor from CODEC says lime disease does not cause mental disease. It seems he has been suspect of mental disease for a very long time, before he had lime disease. Plus the fact that is such a difficult disease to diagnose there are those who do not believe this is his problem. I don't know anything about demon possession; however, the behavior is totally daemonic.

The man was mentally ill.
They said it had been caused by Lyme disease, a stinking tick bite! Spiritual warfare is what it truly was; the Enemy used that man's illness as a tool. Maybe he was actually demon-possessed. It certainly sounds like it, the way he began stabbing himself after the gun jammed. It sounds like a scene from the Pit, doesn't it? Yes, I believe the Enemy will use those images to torment the church goers' minds and undermine faith as much as he can. I pity the sick man, but I pity everyone who witnessed it and especially the pastor's family even more. May God wrap His arms around them and fill them with His peace and love.

It was indeed a terrible thing that will, I'm sure, linger in the minds of those who witnessed it. One person said they will always remember the confetti flying through the air from a bullet going through his Bible. The only way that one can be ready for such horrors as that is to have a ready heart.
