Thank you. I have tons of these stories about Life before I was born. Love you.

I'd like to hear more like this, too!

It was very good, even more so because it was real.

I think they are easier to write when it is true and historical. I love the stories of my youth. We had no other means but to tell stories and read books. It was good.

That's just about the best tale you've ever told, Justi.

That is what people did then. We cared for others and others cared for us. Those who have stopped such I am sorry for them. Be blessings to you two from our house to yours.

Dear Lady, that is why I love your stories so very much. We grew up worlds apart and yet so near in kind. Even both were Methodists. :)

A wonderful post luv, wonderful and you can tell what good folks you came from. My momma did the same sort of things in the hard times, like the war years '39-45'. it was hard then too. Love to you and George luv.................................................

This is a wonderful heart tugging story told so well.
There must be so many stories from back when full of true human caring and real love. One didn't lock doors or turn away a traveller in need. I see where you were taught your principles and your faith. That farm house was so like my home.

Fabulous. This was so homey and so well written and I loved the name Sweetpie. You could really expand upon this story. It would be a wonderful read. Thank you for this treasured memory.
