I used to have a costume shop...
This, of course, was the busiest time of year, with sales and rentals of costuming assembled from year-round perusals of thrift shops, ebay, and such. Now and then, there was a real theater piece, maybe antique. I still have some of the best bits. In storage now there is a batch of original Mardi Gras parade costumes, and there are some Renaissance pieces constructed by historic re-creationists who care a lot about authentic technique and materials. I could still outfit the whole Fellowship of...

14-day free trial is over...
I took back the little Canon Elph camera, and traded for the slightly larger but still handy pocket-sized Canon PowerShot a1000 IS. This one has 10 megapixels, and a 4x optical zoom, up to 16x if you push it up to the digital zoom--talked about what that all means in a recent post here. So far, I like this a lot better. It fits the hand better, handles the light better so far as I have experimented, and I can get my computer to read the thing, which was a strangely difficult experience with the...

Devotion: Never Mind the Gap
Urgo is Magic's favorite cat. Magic adopted Urgo when he was a tiny, defensive grey and white mite of a kitten, and now that Urgo is bigger than he is, and rather aloof, Magic still gets in a few licks and some moments of closeness...
