Davy seemed lethargic yesterday, emptied his stomach contents on the floor, had a bit of trouble getting up after a nap... Vet encouraged a trip to the pet ER. The vet there listened very carefully to his heart and for the pulse in his hind legs, and found both very faint. He has fluid in the pericardium, the membrane around the heart. It was removed and he stayed overnight for observation, to see if it fills up again quickly, or doesn't. After that, we don't know what will happen next. Vet says... Sign in to see full entry.
