Today I experienced a first, a second first and I am ready to sue and then kill. Yes I have already asked for forgiveness of my anger. I do not like destruction, for almost a week now people have been scraping over my head, driving nails, tossing roofing shingles a ll over my plants and such. But it is beginning to look pretty. Tomorrow we begin the roof work. It is a pretty color shingle not metal. Even if our house is fairly large it is like a cottage, we are near the lake and are going to paint it a nice soft sea blue with the shutters a charcoal sorta deep blue, the dormers will have window boxes with salmon colored geraniums and all the porch posts and window trim and doors will be stark white. Well we have garden in the ground, pots, cans, boxes and George is not often still afraid I will plant some strange herb in his hair. It is all going well and we are about ready to get into the first phase of the roofing of the house. George makes the best Non Sweet Southern Ice Tea. You see most people drink sweet tea down south but we don't. Oddly everybody that comes to our house loves George's tea, they just hadn't tried it without tons of sugar. Well he has a certain procedure for making his tea. You boil water in an enamel pan, then drop in the required number of tea bags, put a lid on the pan and let it steep with the stove turned off of course. When he hasn't the time I make the tea. Today is the last day at the Big Top! The gig is up. My husband is astounding to me. He told me not to worry that man was often to obtuse to realized it was time to move along and God had to come kick them out of study-hall so we could get on with his plan. I have been gardening, cooking and God forbid but I have been eating. I have been working on recipes as usual. Last night I made yeast biscuits and experimented with freezing them. They are rolled out very thin and buttered then three layers of one of these make one biscuit then they rise and are delicious. I constantly see some comment or a blog that is at odds with any of us who take world leaders to task for their behavior. They are claiming we are hurtful, at war with someone or something all the time. I want us to look at that. See if we are really war mongers, bad blabbering mouths or if the issue is murky all together. Yes, I am truly tired. So much has happened in my household the last 14 days I am holding on by the skin of my teeth. God has been so gracious in making it all come together; however, there are still boulders scattered all along the road in front of us. I have been healed for more than six months. I have not had a single pain, of the sort that goes with fibromyalgia. I have not had a bout of depression that also goes with the same. Yes, my husband was one of those to go. They told him today that he would work out on April 5. That was a nice gesture since now he will receive Easter Holiday pay. When God shuts a door he opens another or two, plus a couple of windows all will be well, he is a worker, creative and willing. The stove is cooking like a new one and I am going right along with the test recipes. But we had not a word about the roof until today! We did not know what to expect. The adjuster came out today and told us there was some damage due to wear and tear; however, it was mostly due to massive storm damage.
