This is such an awesome reply. It is all true. Yes I do agree with what you have said. I am against the politics of those who want the same as they had and only want the benefits. It is the political mind and it is not only of those who are new here. I am not afraid. I find the isolation comes so often in our area from the other side. Yes I believe you are totally an American just as I am. I believe all the Cubans who re-made Miami are a plus. I would love to have a good cup of coffee and discuss this with you. We are not apart on what we have to say. There are other factions at play that are a harm to this country. That cut and paste is my political page go read it, all of it please. What scares me is that we will have to flee if it keeps going in that direction. Be blessed dear woman.

I copied and pasted but got a message that they could not display the page and re-directing me to the Blogit home page... :-( I read your previous one though and I am speechless... WOW 10 generations back in this country is something to be proud of. I can trace my family roots back 7 generations but only 4 have been American from my maternal grandfather side... Then he had to go and marry a French woman loll... and the next two generations... my Mom was born in France and raised in Cuba and I was born here, but raised between France and Cuba and here, so I don't know if that qualifies me as a true blue American or not. I certainly feel like one, I love this country with all my heart... does that count? :-) . I have to say also that I know many with even less history here in the States that also feel very American and love this country very much. You should not be so hard on "new" Americans. Though it is true what you say that many do not even bother to learn English or to try to adapt to our customs and that is terrible and rude... there are many others that do learn the language and try their darnest to be good Americans. This Justy, as you so nicely said, is a country of immigrants and though its true that English, Irish , Australians, Canadians and other English speaking immigrants had more in common with each other and with the already established laws and customs of the US, many Spanish , Asian and European Immigrants want very much to be good Americans as well... their customs are very different , true, but I think that they ad flavor and color to our country... Being different is not a crime... and if they are trying so hard to fit in why would we not try to get to know them so that we, instead of fearing them, can learn to enjoy their company. Terrorists are another matter. I think that we should have no tolerance of those who come to us from other countries to try to destroy us... but how are we to tell who is bad and who is good? This are hard times we live in. Above all I think we must try not to generalize and blame everyone when only a few are at fault, but I can see why some would fear all strangers and want to ban all immigration until we find a way to sort out the bad apples from the good. Thank you for all the time and trouble you put into your writings darling and be well...xoxoxoxo
