All of you who were here when Muser was, I am sure remember her fondly. Well I have some news that you need to pray about. She has Parkinson, you already know. Stress is a big problem for that disease. She is now unable to move her legs due to very bad news. Her husband was diagnosed just recently and is now to a point where Hospice has been called to help. I know most of you don't like politics. On the other hand most of you like children, I am assuming that. Listen carefully to them argue a point of contention. Each of them has a goal. Each of them has mental, emotional and physical means to achieve that goal. They don't spare the feelings of the other if their opinion, wishes and goals differ with the opponent. Hi I am taking a break. I am between making cranberry chutney and Bourbon jelly. It is just too good to not take a break. I truly am enjoying the writing again, reading your writing and enjoying your comments. However, this week I have to work about triple time because I was a bit under the weather last couple of weeks, just a tad but I didn't get enough work done. Yesterday afternoon I was in my office reading your blogs when a knock came on the door, one of those rapid little tap, tap, taps like someone wants in our of the rain or from fear. We did not and have not had rain in so long it was not that. I went to the door and saw a very young woman, cleanly and decently dressed. On the sidewalk past the porch were two lovely toddlers. Years ago my husband told me there was a new base player in our church band and his wife sat alone last Sunday and he wanted me to find her and befriend her. He pointed her out to me the next Sunday and I introduced myself and that was the beginning of a lovely friendship of twenty or so years. Such a sweet woman, strong, giving and a real worker I learned. She was feeling a bit overwhelmed at church as she had not been a church goer and knew nothing about it at all. Okay here it is the beautiful Surprise Lily. They come up in full bloom is less than 2 days. Sometimes just over night. You see the little couple of lily like sprouts out of the ground the next thing is 18 or more inches of stem and then this lovely bloom. They will last cut for a few days. I have hundreds of them. There was a day in my life when I could have passed as double-backed. I just got our of bed in the morning and said head, front, contact, forward and I went about my day. Then I came to that slowing period when the Lord lets you know the 'cutie pie' manufacturing days are coming to an end. Get ready to watch this new generation come along and shoulder the load, let them pay the price for pretty, svelte and fashionable low cut, backless designer dresses on flawless bodies. We are experiencing dry weather still. We have had less than an inch of rain in months. Our water bills are too high, our plants are suffering but today my beautiful surprise lilies popped up out of the ground and filled the area with beautiful fragile red blooms on a slender long stem. I love them. I looked on the ground and there are hundreds of them coming up and they will be full grown blooms and a day or so. I am an only child. It is really strange but we often have a lot of confidence about speaking out to others because there are no siblings to tell us 'hey that is stupid'. We just expose all we know. Books often are out best if not only friends at times, so we usually excel in class work. However, we usually drag way behind in knowledge of things sexual and tend to just laugh with the other kids like we knew what they were saying for a long time. I have a couple of friends who write for our local news paper, which by the way is a very popular small paper because of some idiosyncracies, such as the same format as 70 years ago, news only of happenings in the towns in our county. Those who have lived here and moved away still take the paper, those retiring here send it home to let people know who and how we live here.
