Elsianfields
They seem to thrive here and I believe we have weather pretty much like Texas. Once you have them started they thrive on their own and look like grass all winter and in the summer nothing until they pop out of the ground and bloom. A true delight.

Re: Elsianfields
Hmmm yes I do find this as so and my goodness, I think I may cross over that fence and get me some --- hoping they'll grow in my lot ~ Hmmm... great things come in some beautiful small packages eh?  Thank you Justi...Elyse

If you will research them you will see they are not wild flowers and are around $130 a dozen bulbs, I have not looked in some tiem but was the price when I did. I simply love them.

They grow in a field behind my house and in other areas here as well...even as I was driving home from the hill country to the piney woods here of East Texas, sometimes they would be in patches ~ flanking the roadside.  Yes, they are stunning and like perfection right there before us.  I love this wildflower as such ~ Elyse

He sure is good to give me gifts. It is so beautiful it looks like a little ballarina standing on the one leg with the other under her little pouffy skirt. I don't know dance terms but I think the flower looks a bit like a red Swan Lake beauty.

Thank you so much. Coming from you and your expertise with flowers that is such a compliment. My husband took the photo and I simply posted it after I learned over again how to do that. Be blessed.

Well they really are lovely Justi I expect they would be highly sought after, your ground must be ideal for them. I am pleased that you can show them in such an engaging natural way. Well done
