A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I think all of you know I have no siblings. But I think most of you have so you will understand this perhaps more than I. It is easy for me to see how close the pain is if one of my children or step children's sibling is hurting. As a born-again Christian it is my duty to consider all others of the same form of Faith my brother and sister. Yesterday George and I went to a lunch time meeting for the women at the jail. I like for George to go with me when he can. They love to sing and he does Sunday morning worship with them both men and women. So as often as I can I take him so he can play guitar and sing with them. This time we had only two women. Did I just lie to you? I hope not, lying is not a trait I approve of in any person or situation. What I am angry at is the fact that sons, daughters, sisters and brothers were killed yesterday on home soil while some chicken livered coward was allowed in a position he should never have had access to. Today I had my monthly visit for check up with my doctor. I got an A+. I have been doing absolutely great. I cannot tell you what it feels like to have fibromyalgia, the pain is incredible, the fatigue is endless and you have a variety of other things then comes the diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes. I was devastated about three months ago. I had prayed years to be healed of the fibromyalgia to no avail but I knew God could heal and it came about two months ago. It is a restful Sunday afternoon and I am ready to do my review for our class on love tonight. I find most people have a definition for the word love but it differs one from another according to what they want to have from love. Oh how I wish I could farm. The size of the patches we have to garden are totally laughable. Somehow God manages to give us lots of wonderful food off a small amount of ground. Over the weekend George set plants for lettuce, savoy cabbages, purple cabbage, garlic, onions and he planted seeds for spinach, mustard, mixed greens of some sort and spinach/mustard blend. A few months ago I actually did not think I hade much longer to live. I had been ill for fourteen years. I had a list of illnesses that was too long to discuss. I could not do very much at all without having to have bed rest for a while. I changed doctors. The doctor I found is excellent. Seeing her was when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I have missed you people. George and I have had more work this past week than we could shake a stick at. He worked his job all week, I continued to can and harvest food and we did five recovery messages, I served at the Jail once and picked up the in-mates for a recovery program on Thursday evening. Yesterday I enjoyed a birthday lunch for one of the women who attended the first Home Bible Study we ever did. It was wonderful. We have remained friends in various ministries for almost 15 years.... I hope you had a great week-end and Holiday. We did! Friday George was off work, we harvested vegetables from our garden. We canned and froze them. Saturday and Sunday we attended to our ministries and again on Monday we canned. These foods are so good, fresh, full of excellent taste with no preservatives, just basic old fashioned canning methods. Watching t.v. for a short period of time will show you we are a world of excessive people in so many ways. Jesus is the only saving grace from the turmoil in the world now. Many will not buy that. i recently ran into an old acquaintance I had not seen in years, yes many years. This was on one of my rare trips into the 'city'. We met in the book store. Thursday evening George and I picked up seven women and one man from the jail and brought them to 'Celebrate Recovery' at our church. A meal was served with several kinds of desserts. This is a healing group for recovering addicts whatever kind. There is a program and several small groups afterward. These people wore their orange suites but no arm or leg irons.
