My body does not assimilate potassium in a normal manner. I take it daily and eat foods that are high in potassium; however, sometimes it goes way down and I am weak and sick because of it. It does this infrequently enough for me not to recognize the problem. My doctor called and increased what I am taking by three times and I get tests again next week. WE WILL KNOW TOMORROW
We will know tomorrow. I went to the doctor today since I could not control some new symptoms and she was concerned since they did not correlate with anything she is watching. So we did the labs and tomorrow we will have the results. I did have great news I had lost another 10 lbs just since my last visit. I have lost a total of 38 pounds since I have been seeing this doctor. I sure don't look like I did most of my adult life I weighed from 110 to 120 and, no I am not going to tell you how much... NO FREEDOME NO CRIME WHAT THEN
I have not felt my very best the last few days. Today I was not able to go to the Nursing Home for our ministries. I really miss them when I don't go. They have them compartmentalized into the usual large group which they call "Big Church" then there is the "Garden" this is the alzheimer's section. In the Garden there are some very colorful characters. Sweet, cute and sad to say the least. One is a rather large peasant stock sort of woman. AND LIFE GOES ON AND ON
Few activities have been curtailed to any great degree because of the several days of rain. Walking has been one of them and I can tell it. Other things got in the way of walking as much as the rain. The sun is bright already this morning but the vegetation around us is lively, green and beautiful. The difference is dramatic when there is no rain for a long period of time. WRITING CLASS REGISTRATION FOR THE BABY
She still does not have a name but first things first. She is about to register for writing classes. I tried to impress upon her to get a lot o rest and keep those white socks or sox clean. Her answer was to Mom and Dad you two write and I will guard the copier. That is unless I nod off. My big sister is keeping me hopping to stay our of her way. Well it looks like George and I may be new parents, unless someone else cries foul. We were walking a couple of days ago and George had heard a funny noise as we began on the trail, not me I was running my mouth and heard absolutely nothing. Today we had another little show-off storm and a little rain came with it. Thankfully the rain wet the tips of our grass and flowers, but the humidity is horrible. I think it is worse where TAPS is than here. The temp cooled a bit after the rain; however, the humidity made our walk seem more like a climb. Being in one of the areas that is accustomed to tornadoes we know what to do and have advanced notice of them. These things that are coming now like what came in such mass last week over such a staggering area are odd to say the least. JUST A WALKING
When it comes to shoes I am stringy. I should have been a cop, my feet are flat as the floor I walk on. It has been more and more difficult to make my daily walk because my feel and legs do hurt. George laid down the law about shoes. He told me it was time to buy shoes, real shoes, good walking shoes and you will not get them for $40 I don't want to hear anymore about it you are falling, having trouble walking because you are too stingy to buy a pair of shoes. UNMERITED FAVOR
There is no such thing as luck; therefore, I am so very blessed. Over the past few years I have fallen many times, I know when I have a bad fall. I did have one last Sunday and the beauty of this is that the next day I intended to go to the hospital and get a full clearance. But low and behold.... We received an invitation early in the month to a luncheon today. The luncheon was given by the Nursing Home where we do a ministry. We are the new kids on the block for volunteer ministry.
