A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I am not sure which party is being declared the worst in the war on women. One day it is one of them then the next day it is the other. One young woman raised a fair ruckus over the Catholic Church saying they would not accept Obama Care paying for condoms since they do not believe in either sex outside marriage or avoiding pregnancy. We are enjoying some much cooler weather and that in itself is a great blessing. This has been such a hot summer. It has been one where doing anything outside was almost unthinkable. We also had a warm winter, so we will see what comes next. Our Saturday dinner and visit with friends went very well. I have cleaned the front porch, watered the herbs and done the laundry. Now I only have a few things to tidy up before I begin getting ready for dinner guest tonight. I have not worked in the capacity of a visiting jail minister on a weekly basis for some time. But back when I did my heart ached for all the inmates who could be or have been out if they had known and followed a few rules. A basic ignorance hovers over them and this keeps them there longer. I have a prayer request. There's a lady I've known all my life. She's very sick. On top of that, she's being abused by those to whom she has given everything. Lies about her abound, and seem to come from all sides. Just breaks my heart. Seems there's nothing I can do alone but maybe, if we join in and lift her up together, we can heal her. Yesterday was such a wonderful day. First we did our services for the Nursing Home. That proved to be a blessing beyond what I could have expected. I think I have written about Barbara, she had physical disabilities and great difficulty in talking, but she was sharp as a tack. I am still having a bit of trouble with aging and/or illness. It will all be better soon, hopefully. 300% increase in dosage of Potassium and measurement one week later shows almost no difference. Some tell me the low levels of Potassium are associated with fibromyalgia which I have had for 17-18 years. I have had far less down time with it in the last few years from symptoms we know to be those of fibro, but these I have now don't stop. We are beginning a new batch of tests tomorrow. We will... This is our precious Miss Mercy. She is a beautiful ordinary cat. She is being a great example of a Kitty Mom to an adopted Kitty Baby. This is my first experience with connecting Mercy with another cat because we got her as a pair together with a little sister and the secretary in the church behind us simply stole her and took her out to her farm. She is growing, getting into all things not nailed down; she swings on those. We have named her Vamp and we truly love her. She has become the new charge of our older cat Mercy. She is training this little one and sometimes it looks as if it may get wild but hasn't thus far. This one is totally a house cat, but Mercy is inside-outside. This day was not about us but it was a lot about this beautiful young woman standing beside me. Yesterday George and I helped her bring her only child a son into the world of Teenagers! It was his thirteenth birthday. I was so blessed to be able to share this day with my daughter. It brought back so many memories.
