Final packing: What shall I take to amuse myself for 18 hours?

Well, I have a window seat, but over a wing. I will try for a better view, but have not much hope of it. So I will need other amusements... Swimming with dolphins

is high on my Singapore To-Do list. There seems to be a correlation between the state of emotions of the observer and the proximity of whales. What do you forget when you pack for a long trip? What do you not bother to carry because you figure you can get it there?
