THE SWEET TASTE OF VICTORY

If they had only known what horrors were ahead for Israel..... Perhaps they would have continued on until they brought down the despotic governments that had attacked them.....but the pressure from the rest of the world was too great......and they paused. A peaceful period allowing their enemies to regroup and replenish......planning anew to bring about the destruction of your homeland. posted by Corbin_Dallas on May 8, 2010 at 4:48 AM | link to this | reply | Corbin Dallas: They knew, of... THE PRICE OF FREEDOM

The War is over Some adults think children don't get it. But your experience as a ten-year-old (and similar experiences among innocents in war zones even now) proves otherwise. I wish we all could have had more days to spend in grateful appreciation and fewer to live in dread and fear. posted by Pat_B on May 5, 2010 at 6:01 AM | link to this | reply | We should not spend even one minute in dread or in fear, and it is that objective that we should focus on at all times of trial and tribulation.... DEAD SILENCE

Sunshine and fresh air are such wonderful gifts that we often take for granted and don't really appreciate until we know where they are but cannot have them for one reason or another. posted by TAPS. on April 28, 2010 at 10:14 AM | link to this | reply | report abuse All the beautiful and wonderful things in life are free. If we only took the time to feel the joy, we wouldn’t need to ever experience one sad moment. Dead Silence The dead silence of the night pierced me to the bone. The dry and... MY BIG TEN-O B-DAY

Re: Viewing killing as a necessary evil, does not imply that I oppose warring back to stop a terrorist. I have supported warring with terrorism, and still do, although I favor a winning strategy that will accomplish anything. I still love the Arab people, although I have always been an ally of Israel. Of course, Israel cannot let enemies destroy them without defending their country and people. God obviously protects them and their allies; they have survived terrors other civilizations have been... The Shelter (No Courage Only Survival)

What a poignant memory T... The first time I visited Israel I remember thinking that the people in the streets were cold and rude... they just pushed me aside with a "Shliha" ( Excuse me) as if I were not there... After coming home Iand having thought about it I realized it was not coldness or rudness... that actually after one got to know them, Israelis were and caring... but they live and have lived for a long time on the verge of disaster... they have been through many wars and any minute (... Courage Inside the Shelter

COURAGE 6 Mama told me when I was a child that every nation that ever oppressed the Jews has failed and crumbled. I don't know if this is 100% true, but it does happen. To me, it's the hate and suspicion that eats away at nations and people, no matter who their target is. I agree with Elyse's comment that your story needs to be a book, a movie script, a historical record if nothing else. posted by Pat_B on April 23, 2010 at 10:33 AM | link to this | reply | PatB: Dennis Prager in his talk show... PLAN TO SUCCEED

Short quick sidetrack to Courage series, Well, God bless you - as I feel He does - I tell you I am mesmerized by your account here. This is History and should be written and I wonder if you are documenting this - maybe writing for a 'book' or a journal for your children. I wonder how most of us would survive this shock of constant attack over our lives. I think of all the terroristic problems here within the States - with drugs - gangs and all the other stuff - it is frightening to me only... Sign in to see full entry.

COURAGE OR STUPIDITY

I just don't get the bitter hatred that makes people want to kill everyone "not them." It's a narrow, restricted life they've chosen for themselves. Seems to me that every zealot who ever acted this way has eventually destroyed himself and those around him, and his philosophy is scorned by all civilized persons. posted by Pat_B on April 20, 2010 at 5:00 AM | link to this | reply ------------------------------------------------------------------ Pat B: Remember what a very smart Jewish man named... COURAGE TO SURVIVE AND STAY ALIVE.

No child should have to go through all that. Sadly, this is a recurring theme in our world's history. I wonder if it'll ever stop. posted by FormerStudentIntern on April 16, 2010 at 6:34 PM | link to this | reply | report abuse Today, it is more prevalent and is recurring all over the world. The Terror organizations have grown and prospered under the world leaders. Obama or Hussein, our president, has bowed down in front of the major supporter of terror, The King of Saudi Arabia. Not only did he... Sign in to see full entry.

Courage to Change Plans

tho' I cannot agree with all that you write, I enjoy reading your opinion. posted by benzinha on April 12, 2010 at 12:20 AM | link to this | reply | Each one of us is like an entire universe, unique as the different fingerprints. Our experience and thoughts are also a print of an individual nature. I take it as a compliment that you can enjoy reading my opinion without agreement. I enjoy reading your opinion as well. I hope that we can agree on one thing, that we can all strive to become better... Sign in to see full entry.
