I've come to answer your question...
...Afzal and I met here on Blogit about 4 years ago.  Since then we've been corresponding through email, chat, our blogs, and phone.  He is in India, I am in the US.  So if that is what you consider a Cyber relationship, then yes.

What a terrifying and soul-searing experience for a child to have.

Your quote in the beginning is oh so true. With God by our side we should fear nothing but Him for his wrath is worse then all that we can see or imagine. People can cause chaos but one day God will rectify such things and put them back in their place.

I love the enduring strength of a mother, it had to keep the others focused to the task at hand! Such an ordeal for young people! sam

such intense emotion must leave it's mark,
a legacy of tragedy that must colour your world in shades of that day.  Thank you for sharing it

Too much for a child to have to remember, very well written luv

I can't imagine
having such memories.  My tenth year was ideal in comparison.  I am actually wishing for that life back.  War was something other worldly.

I can't even imagine having those kinds of memories from childhood.  I was so fortunate and didn't even know it then.

h On this second reading the conflicting emotions impress me. First I find the empathy for the prisoners of war and their families. Second it’s human to feel relief that your own loved ones survived the war. However many feel anticipation of grief for lost loved ones. Finally a mother’s instinct still looks around, hoping emotionally that she can bring her children to more lasting safety. Happy Mother’s Day   love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

No child should have to see and hear and remember the sights and sounds
and smell of war. and no one should torture another. This really breaks my heart knowing you suffered so much and today, children still suffer so much.

TZIPPY, you are teaching us how to survive in a war.  A lesson everyone needs these days.

Hi Tzippy, and I noticed you after, errr, a long time. How are you?

I cannot imagine the pain people went through when their loved ones did not come home.

How very horrible it must have been to hear all those women
crying for their loved ones.
It seems in war that no one really wins.

Just catching up with you here on your way home...what an experience! I can see how such events shape a child's view of the world for the rest of her life...

I hate this. I hate that you had to go through it.
I hate that it continues even unto today. I want it to stop. But I am thankful that you are able to add to my understanding of the world, the conflict. Write on!

If They had only known what horrors were ahead for Israel.....
perhaps they would have continued on until they brought down the despotic governments that had attacked them.....but the pressure from the rest of the world was too great......and they paused.   A peaceful period allowing their enemies to regroup and replenish......planning anew to bring about the destruction of your homeland.
