Your story has opened my eyes and broadened my thoughts...it seems you can't have one without the other. No doubt good and evil will always exist. It's just a matter of which will prevail. I would hope the side of love and peace would see daylight. Far to many children suffer in this world...it doesn't have to be that way.

Re: Viewing killing as a necessary evil, does not imply that I oppose
warring back to stop a terrorist.  I have supported warring with terrorism, and still do, although I favor a winning strategy that will accomplish anything.  I still love the Arab people, although I have always been an ally of Israel.  Of course, Israel cannot let enemies destroy them without defending their country and people.  God obviously protects them and their allies; they have survived terrors other civilizations have been destroyed with.

Giving bombs to little children is not what the free world can deal with that well...I cannot....I do not even agree with harming adults with them really,  although it turns out to be a necessary evil to defend from aggressors.

See my latest post
but so much of this is because Islam will only recognize One prophet and does not have a self-correcting mechanism like Judaism and Christianity which expect that new prophets will arise from the people.

War is hell.

If there
is a group of people bonded together by projecting hate, then they must fight amoungst themselves and hate each other too.

So true it is that when we hurt others that we hurt ourselves...To think that was what you were learning about in kindergarten is so sad.

Tzippy
I like to think that with the total obliteration of the planet and all it's religions, everything will be made right. God will see that He/She needs to put the same chip in all of humanity about who He/She is. You've had a rough life as a youngster and write well of it all. Be happy for tomorrow we may all be dead.

You learned the mantra at such an early age ((((Tzippy) - You are-were quite the student/survivor...you followed directions for survival.  I am amazed at your skills in writing this...I follow along as with bated breath at times and curious around each line wondering ... This is a well written document. xoxox Elyse

Tzippy........
Wouldn't it be a wonderful answer to all of our prayers if this became the norm......

Heartwrenching and powerful, Dear Tzippy..
The harm done to children and the innocent goes so far beyond the pale of geopolitical issue to reveal a psychotic kind of evil which only serves to imprison humanity harder and tighter..
I commend you for this work - seems very much needed and publishable.

Curiousity is apparently stronger than fear.
Guess that's where the old saying came from. I guess my gut will unclench in a few minutes, but your writing put me right there with you... brrr.

Tzippy

Another riveting post about those events - and you certainly displayed a courage beyond your age...

It is unfortunate the forces which unleashed that war are still with us, and have grown stronger... And it is outrageous that we, the West collectively, have allowed a country bent on the destruction of Israel to arrive within arm's reach of a nuclear bomb...

I understand this post in more ways than one Tzippy. And in fact more in awareness of the atrocities than that which I choose to dispel. I think in so many ways religious beliefs are used for the wrong reasons and most times inter-mingling with politics and race that eventually you have terrorists fighting in the name of God. Thank you for your answer to my comment and with regard to communicating this to the rest of the world..you are doing a fine job of it.
