Whoa...I didn't know so many countries back then were joined in this horrible assault. You must be I'm sure, and I've said it before, a strong person, for what you've had to endure, even as a child, and more so... I hate war...

I believe in Karma, have seen it work. We all have an opinion and we are all entitled to them. Who is to say that one is wrong and one is right? Not me.

I've been getting caught up here.  You are very prolific with your writing and do it so well.  When I am reading you, I always feel that I am right there with you at whatever age you are at the time.

Tzippy - this is powerful and I find I got behind a while back and now must read back to catch up.  (((Tzippy))) is all I can add here.  Elyse

I think
that such horrors should be known to the world and never forgotten, unfortunately, like so many other horrific stories which this world has to tell.  I only wish we could learn from this kind of thing, what NOT to do... as human beings.

Very interesting indeed! Thanks for your visit. The solar calendar determines the dates for the new year!

Thank you for providing a window for people who have not experienced this or exactly this,  to look in.  These things still take place for others and I wonder how it affects them.  From my perspective, God's hand seems to protect you through these disasters, to the point of someone actually taking you by the hand.  I hope your new kitchen turns out great!!

Everything changed in all ways for me, also when I lost my father and things were never the same.  I went down, but was forced to become stronger in unseen ways.

No child should have to go through all that. Sadly, this is a recurring theme in our world's history. I wonder if it'll ever stop.

You have an excellent way of talking about these events as seen through the eyes of the child you were, even after all these years...

What a horrendous way to have to grow up! The training of children to be suicide bombers defies comprehension!

Also, I saw on a comment you were moving and I decided not to burden you with links to my story! And, I have succeeded in doing what I had attempted to avoid. But this is where you start my dear and so sorry I did not bring links sooner!: Pt. 13; Pt 14; Pt 15; Pt. 16; Pt. 17Pt. 18; Pt. 19; Pt. 20  sam

I hate it that children must live this way (adults too).
I wish it would stop.
