Ashfall and Acreage
This morning ash was falling, and a pall still hangs over Seattle... So many fires, north, south, and east of here. When we fly out tonight if I have a south-facing window, I may be able to see the one burning along the Columbia River. Started, I'm hearing, by a couple of kids throwing firecrackers off a cliff. It has now hopped over the river to Washington, hard to imagine as that is: the Columbia is a wide, wide river! Our Elsa is now loving pulling herself up to her feet by the edge of the...
