What did Santa bring you?
When I was a kid, and when my kids were kids, and now, when their kids are kids, a phone call with the grannies and gramps was always a kind of verbal parade of our new wealth. It's still what we do, but less of bragging and more of sharing... perhaps. We get older, and the things we value most are not things, but thoughts and kindnesses, and getting that someone gets us.
