Hoarfrost, daybreak, and the moon
The sun came up brilliant in a nearly clear sky this morning, and touched the hoarfrost with light, and later, with warmth: the frost was gone by 9AM. But I did get some pictures of the sun coming up, and then went to the front of the house, and found the moon--a waning gibbous moon--going down. And Pike's Peak is back, after hiding behind mists and snowfall for some little time. The tops of the blue spruce trees abound with cones that look very much like fir cones.
