From May 12 to the 27th... doesn't seem that long a time, but while I've been in the rainy forest of the Northwest, spring burst out in front of my deck. The bare tree to the left is suddenly in full leaf--it's a maple of some kind, lush and shady. It does cut the view of the mountains down, but will make it cooler here on the coming hot and sunny summer afternoons. The whole neighborhood is graced with these green reefs, where birds--doves, crows, magpies, blackbirds visiting from the nearby... Sign in to see full entry.
