Days of soft rain are not usual in this part of the world, and so they are more respected and even relished, unlike the perpetual precip that (literally) rains down on Seattle and Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula. Thanks to that rain, there are the wonderfully hoary old rain forests. But it still gets tedious, living with it far from those forests. Shiny, wet, grey, dismal city streets...
