If Embers were human, it would be dialysis time. As she is a cat, she will spend the next couple of days in cat hospital getting her kidneys flushed, and when I go to pick her up on Friday they'll teach me how to inject fluids under the skin. This is going to be a daily thing, I think. I've given under-skin shots before, so I'm not too alarmed by the prospect. The flush jump-starts the process, it won't be a regular thing in itself, I'm told. There are no signs of diabetes: this is all kidney... Sign in to see full entry.
