and shining through the spring green leaves, dappling the truck, packed and tarped and netted-over. We will drive off, if all goes to plan, at 8 tomorrow morning, and about 4 or 5 hours later we'll be taking the long slow haul up a three-mile grade south of Pendelton, Oregon. That hill splits the east- and west-bound traffics, and each way has a view point looking out towards western Oregon. The east-bound is not as high as the other, but it is still dramatic.
