View to the west
It's the fifth morning, waking up in my new place. The first, I woke before dawn, and so, when the pink rose in the east, outside the back windows, it glowed like rose and gold off the slopes and ridges of Pike's Peak, directly west of the front windows. I have arranged my chair and put up a cafe-style curtain across the lower part of the livingroom window to eliminate the street and houses from the view, and I sit here every morning, watching sunrise on Pike's Peak, as if it's just me and the...
