Overnight storms, lots of rain

This area has a weather system hovering now -- rain, wind, thunder and lightning. Is it just me, or do storms this year seem to carry a lot more lightning than they used to? Cute guy in uniform...

Friday around lunch time my law student daughter was rear-ended by a truck when she stopped at an intersection for a red light. He apparently didn't see her, shoved her vehicle 150 yards before it came to a stop, then rolled over her car, totaled it. The air bag did not deploy, so her head went into...
