Stop and think about it. What are the things you have not completed or people you have shied away from because of one or another kind of fear. I learned something today. I enjoyed reading the post about Taps discovering she had a flat tire and the male volunteers who stepped up to the plate. But it was when I went back this morning and read all the comments that I just cracked up. There were all sorts of reasons we could not and would not change a tire. Two lovely little ones died yesterday from heat exhaustion left in their parents cars. Oh no this was not some mom who had to go to work and had no one to keep the child. It was not a poor person who had no money to pay for day care. No I am telling you it was not some uneducated parent who just doesn't get IT! Two medical workers. I never have known anything about poetry. Not many have read mine. I have seen times I would faint and fall all over myself when RaeS read a poem of mine and left a nice compliment. It is hot, truly hot down South. It is hot over most of the half of the whole United States. In Alabama we have had a drought of more than a year now. I am blessed to have three large threes at three corners of my house to give some shade, still the heat on already dry ground is terrible. I can walk out on the front porch to check the mail and upon opening the door the heat hits you in the face like a tangible thing. This fact makes the Iraqi war so much harder to me. I have never seen such. I was never a part of the Jet Set. Well most of you are too young to have known them any way. But International love affairs are popping like pop corn all over Blogisphere. Just minutes ago I learn my dear friend Wiley John from Canada is in love with my friend Kabu from Australia. This session I have a small group. We had our first real class sessions today. Magnificent young women. They deserve a change in their lives. I asked them for some sketchy reason for being there and what they thought as children that they would grow up to be. One said she simply expected to be an addict. Everybody she knew was an addict of some sort. She said she didn't know teachers etc., weren't just same as her parents that all people drank, did drugs and fought when they were at home. That... We all have heard it is important to our well being to keep positive in our thinking and living. We have a beautiful Farmer's Market in our little town. It is in the middle of a park, right on the lake. Only home grown things are sold here. It is open three days a week from May through September. I went early today and came home with wonderful things: Cantaloupes just $1 and the were wonderful, huge tomatoes, cucumbers, large shinny bell peppers, new potatoes, small crook neck squash and tiny okra. The new floor is common sight now and one I am thankful for but on with daily things at hand. It is not the sight as much as the smell today. I have a lovely four vegetable and cheese lasagna roasting in the oven, a lovely salad and iced tea calling out! I love cooking as I am sure many of you know. I am so happy it is Saturday. George is home and going along rapidly on the honey-do list. Today I get a new kitchen floor. Oh well it matters little that I have needed it for two or three years. It was about standing against evil and not going after those who were no harming anyone. How long has America been soft? Rights! My right! Your right! Is there another way to look at this? Are other words interchangeable with these? More and more I see people electing to expect that both the majority and minority can win and rule. Huh? What did you say? You want to get your party into the white house with a Majority vote. I made the acquaintance of a young divorcee with two boys a few years back. She was a beautiful tall muscular woman of many strengths. At the time she was cleaning houses, growing herbs to sell (cooking herbs), going to school to become a court reporter and being a full time mom all at the same time. There are millions and millions of us and we can't tolerate another being or thinking differently than we do in some areas of life. Everybody believes in something. I understand most houses in the colder climes have basements. My house is in the deep American South and is over a 100 years old. It not only has no basement it is almost flat on the ground in the back quarter of it. The termite people have a difficult time getting to all the areas.
