justi, I love redecorating, but not tearing up..........
particularly my bathroom.  I only have one on the first floor.    I hate for my house to be in disarray, but I love the end result.

Wow thomas - do you need a FengShui consultant ?

Quite a chore keeping up with a house of any size..

I too dislike the "destructive" efforts necessary in remodeling. And cleaning up afterwards - bah!..lol. I do enjoy the decorating phase. Last project here was the room I usually write in - once my daughter's bedroom, now partly her son's (for those extended visits which happen fairly frequently) and partly my office. New paint, old carpet out, new carpet laid, new window treatments. When Dakota is here, I'm offline as he takes over my desk and naturally wants to be on the computer playing games. He's also "helped" me blog a few times, lol. Anway, no hired help for this job, but I'm not against it for projects that are large and require more ability than what is available.

Enjoy your new floor, Justi! (that sounds strange..:) but I think new floors improve a room's overall mood.)

I would think a project of that size would be awesome and a lot of headaches in between.

I am fascinated with the art of design, form and color......I just finished the design of a new Hotel which has just began construction.......It’s always exciting for me to see them come together.

Dear dear Wiley
Dear One you are somebody new all the time. I am in here and out. I missed you too. I have to come visit you more often. I am not on Blogit nearly as much as I was for a while. George and I hope to get to tell you hello in person one of these days. Love from us both....

I guess I would like to buy, fix up and sell houses if I won the lottery. Maybe! It takes so much money.

I do love it. But I am not as interested as I was when I was younger. There are so many things I don't want to miss, seek out and search for especially about my faith. But I do enjoy it still.

I luurrrvvvvvve decorating. Is why I studied FengShui.
Unfortunately there is LOTS and lots and lots to do in my home/s - but currently no bucks. Need a lotto win - to get beyond this survival mode. My sister who did win lotto did amazing things with her home.

Years ago I sold my house because I don't like messing with that decorating stuff.   But, for a person who enjoys that, it makes them very happy.  With your wonderful taste in styles and colors and textures, you will turn out with something very beautiful.

I am not surprised you did a good job. You are so creative. Your writing is so creative. Like me you may not be so gifted with power tools but hey we do what we have to do. Be blessed.

it sounds lovely what you having done. Im not good with my hands
but when my husband left for new zealand ahead of me I had to fix up our home for sale ,alone.  I quite surprised myself.  in new zealand do-it-yourself is a popular hobby. people buy old houses and sell them for profit.  and couples like to buy fixit houses for themselves.

Justi - I'm on a sojourn from all of that. As you know I'm living with
Momma while she needs me.  I don't have any inclination whatsoever to do all of that right now.  Maybe in the future and only with something very small.  I want only simplicity now.  Lovely reading about yours though!  Blessings to you.
