A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I had a turn around the day after I wrote the last post. Back to the doctor more shots, more meds and and back to bed. I have a few recommendations for all of you wonderful people. Perhaps I see things through some sort of a tinted glass, certainly not always pink. It is amazing to me how people can justify their selfishness, greed and financial power if they can make it appear they are helping someone in need. I had the least commercial and the most enjoyable Christmas I believe maybe, in all my life time. I saw people's faces lifted, I saw them smile from something other than purchased gifts. There are black sheep in the Blogit family as there is in any family. The thing here is we don't have them tagged. They are hidden from view and I think this one is the black sheep and that one thinks I am the black sheep. Truth of the matter is this is a good family. Have you ever said something so clearly that you and a dozen or so others got it totally; only to have one person crying confused, don't understand or why? First place you know the person crying confused is playing a game because it is obvious this is an intelligent person. All the whys are not really questions they are 'you should' statements formulated to get you to agree. Christmas got into full swing at our house tonight. It appears we begin it all over again every day. We don't have little ones at home anymore and their parents want them at home for the blessed night before that the day of Christmas. We begin early and have as much fun as a house full of hens who had the resident rooster to dinner. All year we buy and make movies and CDs for our adult children. Now I am certainly not suggesting you didn't know that. It has been a long time since I went into work except for my volunteer work. But I never did get that TGIF. I want to get through that day. It is only a day wrapping up a long week. Saturday brings a lovely fuzzy feeling to life. Saturdays are those days you don't see the same people that you encounter daily. You can be with family. I wonder just what the standard is for measuring family. Is it the Mama and Daddy plus 1.5 children? Is it a group of friends? Is it two gay people? The planet may be billions of years old. As for written history that we have it is only something shy of six thousand years. During that time the family pattern has changed somewhat over time. Actually not very much. George and I usually have at least an open house and we go to a few parties during the season. This year is different. We have projects planned. We are having some people in to sign our Christmas Cards we are handing out. But other than that we are not doing anything. Are we staying home because there are so many who can't afford to do anything for Christmas. That would be such a hypocritical move. I have had a wonderful and blessed day, a beautiful dinner and a snuggly evening. Today is our 24th wedding anniversary. We both felt it has flown by so quickly but at the same time anything before us was another life. I am so blessed. Twenty four years of marriage and more in love, more considerate of one another and happier than when we were first married. This state didn't come without work. It doesn't get any better than this. I am often taken aback by other's responses to statements or situations based totally on the moment's emotions. Other times responses are based on what one has always believed even if one has not examined the facts. Popular opinions have so much influence on what we do or do not believe and how we react to other beliefs. I have a real busy couple of weeks. I am going to re-post a few things that were a part of my life at one time. This one was a day or so in a child's life during WWII, mine. The war is in full bloom now and Momma is still wringing her hands and demanding we return to the country. Daddy is making attempts to appease her but he is suggesting we go back without him. Kabu would recognize me if she were to drop by my place. I am hopping around like a roo. I am feeling so good I have begun doing my Christmas preparations as I haven't in such a long time. I simply have to share my joy with everyone. I have had a few health issues for the past ten years. I noticed about two weeks ago I was doing much better. I was pain free. I take a 24 hour time released pain medication but it has never dulled the pain enough not to feel any. I also was weak and needed a lot of sleep. Last week I noticed I was getting away with much less sleep and only a little pain once in awhile. I felt more energy. My husband, not missing a beat, challenged me to walk around... I have had so much to be thankful for this whole year. Those things that came into my path with few exceptions were pebbles. A boulder was toss out there when a man called my son a 'dumbass' on here. I forgive him and all the other hurts for the year to this date. It is over all if forgiven. I am going into December with celebration for the reason for the season.
