Old story, new story
I mentioned being inspired to return to an old story idea. In fact, I wrote some pages--long-hand in those days--and thought them pretty good, actually, and when they'd been lost... well, you know how it is with lost writing: It is the best you ever did and you'll never be able to recreate it again... I like to think, however, that in the past 30 or 40 years, I've grown into a better writer, and the idea of going back to those scenes and dialogues is not so daunting. In fact, there now exists a...
