Souvenirs

A Sheffield Silver-plate tea pot (with no silver plating left but a nice antique look) A brass double ink-well A rock, striped black and white and very glittery A jar of bramble jam Yarns A pair of 'steampunk' costume shoes that actually fit me Two wide belts, also for costume collection Three chocolate mice for Charlie and his housemates An antique wooden box about the size and shape of a small meatloaf ~2000 photos assorted slips of paper that reflect that I have been here, visited interesting... Old story, new story

I mentioned being inspired to return to an old story idea. In fact, I wrote some pages--long-hand in those days--and thought them pretty good, actually, and when they'd been lost... well, you know how it is with lost writing: It is the best you ever did and you'll never be able to recreate it again... I like to think, however, that in the past 30 or 40 years, I've grown into a better writer, and the idea of going back to those scenes and dialogues is not so daunting. In fact, there now exists a...
