In that length of time, I'm sure you have--gotten better and better at writing.  Although you never know.  I'm sure you were wonderful back then.

Ciel

This sounds like a truly fascinating and substantial project - a significant piece of work! And I assume you'll allow us to witness its growth...

Re: Kabu,

I am going to go with an abandoned Roman fortress that was rebuilt with stone into a tower for a secure family home, not quite as grand as a Norman castle, but more than stick and wattle.

England then was as Tolkien described Middle-earth's ancient forest... Time was a squirrel could leap from branch to branch and never set foot on the ground all the way from beyond the eastern mountains to the Great Sea in the west.

Re: CCT,

Hmm... I think I'd need someone older, for an eyewitness.  We are talking 400-500AD. I also can't imagine not being fascinated by where we came from and what made us what we are now. It's like having a map in your mind of where you live, but of time rather than space.

sounds delicious. Dark forests dangerous Boars and even wolves. The castles of course would be all wooden and axes and not very accurate arrows for fighting. Oh a year of research at least...and the of course another visit to gain more atmosphere amd talking to folks and visiting site. I envy you the chance.

What you really need Ciel is a 300 year man to explain that slice of history. It amazes me how little people know of their forebears. I suppose immediate situations are more easily assimilated than to cast one's mind back into one's own history. I do hope you get inspiration and the feeling of content for your new book.

That would be wonderful to restart that story whose pages you lost.

Re: adnohr,

There needs to be a bit more background in my head before I start in writing, but the outline is in place for the first part of it.  I will be home after June 7.

Something about England seems to have set you in the mode for

getting on with building on your foundation. Sounds like a great artistic challenge...
