I watched four episodes of The British Bake-off today
and was struck by how nice all the contestants are. Very different from the ones we get in American 'reality' shows. Then my English son-in-law told me about the one big melt-down (literally) in the Baked Alaska episode. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/.../Great-British-Bake-Off... The moral to that is: Keep an eye on the Sweet Old Thing and use your own damn freezer! *glances around and winks at all the Sweet Old Things in the immediate vicinity* Then I went out in the kitchen and reinvented donuts....
