Flash Fiction

The challenge was to do a quick, short write based on a couple of photos: a black and white image of a tall youngish man and short, older woman appearing to say goodbyes in a place like Grand Central Station maybe in the 1950s; a display of completed Heathkit electronics. Another Monday

The nights are getting warmer, the windows are open, and last night I delighted in hearing a single bird singing out its farewell to the day, clear and bright as can be! I could see it, perched at the very top of an old blue spruce across the street. I sent a pm to Charlie who lives next door, and he was hearing it too. It was a good moment.
