Almost a summer day...
The kind we most love in summer: warm and not yet hot; the sky blue with some clouds gathering that might turn interesting later. Across the street, the neighbor in his shop is using a power saw in short whining bursts. His dog is quiet, that's a mercy. When he drives off for long times, he leaves the pooch--a standard poodle--in the back yard, and the dog barks until he returns.
