LOL - fire engines can make a heck of a racket. Loved the post too - it had me relaxing until I read your response to Kabu.

I must say it is fairly quiet here Ciel. No noisy dogs , just the occasional drone of lawn mowers and the odd deliver van. Off course we sometimes get the whiff of manure being spread two or three miles away and the sewage facility, but they do use a kind of cloudy

perfume to hide the pong. The young blackbirds are a bit reddish in colour which I put down to the diet of colored cat pellets which the parents prefer rather than standard bird food. Although I buy most of my sunflower hearts from the Health  shop.

We don't have any red-wing blackbirds visit here, but I know two different places that they hang out and I go there now and then just to watch them.

Re: Kabu,

And you missed the fire engine that came screaming down the street... whooping through the stop sign, right at our corner--while I was having a little nap... emphasis on the word was.

The first summer day is a joy. Later on we may tire of the heat, but for now, it's great.
