Good News

Just got an email from my sis that brother John's condition is much improved, the pain in his hands they suspected was metastasis from his prostate cancer was actually related to the stomach infection, which is getting better. The Party's Over...

St. B's Festival is On!

Thursday they downloaded the porta-potties. Even before school let out for the summer at 2:30, the flatbed crew was unloading the necessary facilities in a neat row along the exit driveway. Poppy Day and the "Mad Men" marathon

One of the WWII vets from the local VFW was at the front entrance to Schnuck's store on Thursday, selling poppies in memory of Armistice Day. It's the background music for that scene in "Apocalypse Now" where Robt. Duvall and his crew are dropping agent orange and broadcasting the Wagner music to terrify the locals.
