I wish you well with the story contests. Seeing your writing here, I firmly believe you should win them.

Great idea! I guess don't need to tell you that I hope they'll be accepted and published, and that I'll keep my fingers crossed! And of course I'll buy the collection in which they appear!

Best of what luck has to do with it!
Your short stories, especially the reminiscences, have always grabbed my attention and often my heart!
For the record, though you might want to double-check on this with the particular contests, because Blogit is a fee site, not open to the public, what you post here is not actually published by the legal definition. But publishers and contests may well set their own rules and definitions.

Good girl and who knows. You may win a prize. Look my little play won that International prize and I believe it was because the judges enjoyed something from Australia. and one was a Muslim and well Luck has something to do with all winnings. Sure it has to be a decent standing but it also has to appeal to who is reading ...your work is worthy of a prize.

Good luck then Pat, what seemed normal when we were kids seems to hold a certain fascination for some age groups. Like my Mum told me she used to watch the farmer feed the cows and then try to snatch some locust beans before they were eaten.
